What Does the “ROI” in ROI Unlimited Mean?

In business, making money online, travel on July 24, 2011 at 12:33 am

For quite some time I searched to find out what ROI in ROI Unlimited stood for.  I Googled it, I went to the website, I read further.  No answer could be found.  Finally, I convinced myself to try the ROI Unlimited website again and there I found the answer!

As the video shared ROI stands for Return on Integrity. That says a mouthful!

My personal experience has been a pleasant one. I’ve received full support in my back office when needed. My ROI Unlimited team sponsor is very resourceful in providing literature, advice and tools to be successful.

So you see such a business as ROI Unlimited was built upon integrity and it seems that those attracted to it are of the same mindset!

Spending Smart: Travel agent may be best choice to plan trip

Hiring a professional to do something you could do yourself can be a good idea or a bad one. It comes down to the value you receive.

And so it is with travel agents, a species of advisers many consumers might assume went extinct. Today, consumers have the ability to book online for airline tickets, hotels, rental cars, cruises and all-inclusive vacation packages. But travel agents still exist, having evolved from travel bookers to travel consultants.

For some people, using a travel agent can be a great idea, said Robert Krughoff, president of Consumers’ Checkbook, which rates local service providers, including travel agents.

COST: Contrary to popular belief, a travel agent won’t always cost more. In fact, it’s possible you will pay less than booking a vacation yourself because agents might be aware of promotional offers and occasionally have access to exclusive deals. Some agents will charge a per-hour fee for their time in planning a trip. Agents can earn commissions on some bookings, but it’s not nearly as lucrative as it used to be because airlines don’t pay commission.

In general, however, using a travel agent will often cost about the same as booking it yourself, experts say. But you save a lot of time and could get great advice that makes your trip more enjoyable. In that case, you end up getting better value for your money, argues Chris Russo, president of the American Society of Travel Agents.

“People always ask me, ‘How much more is it going to cost me to use a travel professional?’ I tell them, essentially, it shouldn’t cost you more; it should cost you less,” Russo said.

Cambria Suites Breaks Ground in Rapid City, S.D.

RAPID CITY, S.D., July 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Hagg Development Group, Swift Hospitality Group, Consolidated Construction Co. Inc., and Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH) today celebrated the official groundbreaking of a new Cambria Suites hotel in Rapid City, S.D. This is the first of three groundbreakings this year for the all-suites brand from Choice Hotels designed to appeal to travelers who seek contemporary, upscale accommodations at a great value. The company’s two additional groundbreakings will be in New York City.

The 111-suite hotel will be located along Interstate 90 near Cabela’s, on the corner of East Mall Drive and Dakota Craft Drive. Consolidated Construction Co. Inc. of Appleton, Wis., serves as general contractor for the hotel project. The groundbreaking ceremony was held today at the construction site with business, community and government leaders in attendance.

The $12.5 million, 74,000-square-foot, four-story building is expected to be completed in spring of 2012. The hotel will have 1,300 square feet of conference room space, as well as a fitness center and indoor pool area. The hotel will be the first and only Cambria Suites hotel to feature a stacked stone exterior instead of brick, reflecting the architecture of the region. One hundred fifty to 200 construction jobs are expected to be created as a result of this hotel development. In addition, the hotel will employ 35 staff members on an ongoing basis, and is expected to generate in excess of $300,000 in tax revenue to the Rapid City area.

Logged into my account an hour ago and realized one of my reservation (today) was still active. Realized my cancellation request must have timed out when I attempted it three days ago and I didn’t check for a cancellation confirmation number.

It was already past the 4PM-day-before deadline, in fact it was 3 PM here when I called them. As it was for an overseas hotel, it took a bit of calls to the hotel and to CH hotline. But finally they managed to settle the whole issue and get my points back into my account promptly once the reservation was cancelled.

The whole process was very professional and each of the staff I spoke to was very polite.

Thanks Choice Hotels! I’ve been very pleased with my stays thus far!
