Call of Duty Black Ops was much anticipated by critics and chronic gamers alike this past November. I too wanted to see what all the commotion was about. However, I did not wish to buy it for $60. I joined GameFly!
If you do not know GameFly is a rental agency by mail-order of video games from all the major gaming consoles. The gaming consoles supported by Gamefly are: PS3, GameBoy Advance, Nintendo DS, PSP, Xbox 360, Xbox, Nintendo Wii, and Nintendo GameCube.
My experience was impressive as I registered, picked my gaming console, and picked Black Ops. GameFly immediately verified availability of the game and it was off in the mail! It took a couple of days to arrive, but I was pleased with the amount of wait time.
Blockbuster charges $9.71 to rent Call of Duty Black Ops. I joined GameFly for $5.95. I saved money and rented the game for one month through GameFly.
After the first month the fee for GameFly membership is $15.95. You keep a game for one month and return in postage free only to rent another to be delivered by mail. GameFly also has a two-game rental option which begins at $9.95 for the first month. You order two games for the first month. The second month you still order two games, but will be charged $22.95.
The final option with GameFly which is good for those who are pinching pennies, want to check out a game, or want to see how GameFly suits them is the GameFly Free Trial. You can play two games of your choice for free up to 10 days. You can cancel on or before the 10th day and not be billed.
